ABSTRACT

At a meeting of members of the Senate to discuss this report lately held in the Arts School, the Vice-Chancellor presiding, it was stated that thP. effect of the proposed regulations would be that on a new institution giving primafacie evidence of its becoming an in:- stitution like Newnham or Girton, it would be recognised until such time as might elapse to establish it on a permanent footing, and the_ regulations only dealt with a provisional and temporary stage of its existence; that, being passed, the institution would be permanently recognised, as Girton and Newnham Colleges were.
