THE COLLEGE FOR WORKING WoMEN.-The opening meeting of the season in connection with this college took place on October 17th, at Fitzroy Street, Fitzroy Square. Dr. Storrar presided. The Chairman said they had cause for congratulating themselves upon the experience they had gained during the last twelve years, for they had discovered what young women most wanted, and how those wantR could be best met. He could understand bow those leading solitary lives looked about for some place where they could improve their minds, To 1mpply this need the institution had been originated, and he ventured to say with great success. Professor H. Morley, after detailing the work of the college at considemble length, said the opinion used to be prevalent that education spoilt young people for their work, but now there were no employers of women's labour who did not feel grateful for the services of those who had endeavoured to fit themselves more completely for their daily duties.
