ABSTRACT
As a new administrator getting ready to open the school year at your fi rst building, your stomach is full of butterfl ies, the excitement that you feel causes you to refl ect back to when you were little and anticipating that fi rst day of school. You have a clean, orderly desk, with all of your plans for this school year fresh in your mind, making this year the best that it can be. You made sure the vision and mission statement were up to date, you set goals for yourself and your school, you have conveyed these goals to your teachers, and you believe that they are all on board to making this year better than the last.
