ABSTRACT

The sixth step, and second process of action to facilitate genuine collaboration and learning within the educational environment, is building network capacity. Building network capacity is redesigning how you develop and maintain the network of individuals and resources necessary to facilitate student success. In Step 4 (Education Is a Contact Sport) you were asked to develop pathways of interaction among the school, students, parents, and larger community. This contact is essential for building networked capacity, as maintaining these positive interactions is essential when establishing and continuing reciprocal relationships with all of the stakeholders.
