ABSTRACT

In 2010, Vardimon began work on 7734, a highly ambitious project, the main context for which was to look ‘at mankind’s capacity to turn against itself or on itself. I wanted to explore the power and weaknesses that manufacture the type of brutality which creates those historical moments of genocide’ (Vardimon, 2010). Later she elaborated this view in the following way:

The work presents a personal look at our collective memory (or inherited collective memory) of a cruel world – a world where humankind’s inhumanity takes a central place.
