ABSTRACT

Although a system of identical papers for boys and girls has for some years been adopted in the Oxford and Cambridge local examinations, as it has not hithertoprevailed in Ireland, the above factfl may stimulate and encourage school girls and their teachers throughout the country who may hesitate to avail themselves of the examinations under the new act. These results are sufficiently encouraging to our girls' schools, without the additional corroboration of the Oxford and Cambridge lists.
