ABSTRACT
In addition to the two most important factors that have a major impact on food supply (i.e., natural resources and technological progress), a number of other factors can also greatly affect food supply. In this chapter, how some such factors affect food supply is explained. They include conventional factors such as costs of production inputs, changes in the prices of related farm produce and in weather conditions, and emerging forces such as climate change and bio-security.
