At the annual meeting of this association, Governor Tilden heard Mrs. Lowell's Report upon Vagranoy in this state-a very valuable oontribution to the disoussion of the eubject~ He knew also of the efforts made by her to seoure a safe passage through the Legislature for the Tramp Bill }:>roposed by the assooiation. Besides tbe report to which we have referred, she made another to the same association on the subject of the employment of the poor, and colleoted and summarized much information upon the methods of relieving them.
