ABSTRACT

It has occurred to me that some advantage might be gained by the identity of the A.MA. with the public interest of the colored people through so important an organ as the National Convention of Colored Men which is to be organized in this City on next Wednesday the 13th inst. If you think with me I shall be glad to be your Delegate to said Convention .... I myself have strong hopes that much good will come out of it as I shall thus be enabled to speak of a work very near my heart and pay a tribute to the work of the A.MA. which it deserves and which the leading men among our people ought to know it deserves.
