Keeping up with the drones’s: how to get “into” (be part of ) the drone movement

Before progressing any further, emphasis needs to be given to safety. If you start to fly, at the very least follow ICAO’s (ICAO, 2016) six basic tips for safe UAS operations, which apply wherever you are in the world:

• know the rules; • fly in daylight and in good weather; • always keep in sight; • avoid areas with people; • fly below 120m (400ft); • stay clear of other aircraft and at least 5.5km (3.4 miles) from airport.
