ABSTRACT
This chapter will provide an overview of the skills needed by a criminal defense-based forensic social worker. While some forensic social worker skills overlap with traditional social work skills, many are unique to this role. Clinical, collaborative, and practical forensic social work skills will be introduced and defined. These skills will also be incorporated into case study examples.
