ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the application of the proposed methodology of future coverage to the Eurotech case study. Eurotech's philosophy has been inspired by the vision and ideas of Mark Weiser, the father of ubiquitous computing. In Eurotech's vision, invisibility will be achieved through the progressive diffusion of technologies and their integration with everyday life and everyday objects. Eurotech's mission is summarized in the following words: "Digital technologies for a better world". The company focuses on studying and developing cutting-edge technologies that can offer innovative solutions that anticipate market evolution and future scenarios. Eurotech's market is pervasive computation: nano-PCs, embedded computers, wearable computers, high-performance computers and M2M platforms. Corporate Foresight has a real strategic value in helping companies innovate and react to the latent vulnerabilities of an accelerated and turbulent environment. It must absolutely be supported both at the organizational and managerial level.
