ABSTRACT

This chapter continues the themes developed in the previous chapter. The many options for data analysis are briefly reviewed. Unsuitable ones such as those based on t and F tests and very complex ones – time series and multi-level modelling options – are noted but not covered in detail. The two main foci of the chapter are the non-overlap statistics based on semi-graphical methods and tests based on randomisation principles. Each class of method is illustrated with several worked examples, and suitable and available resources for running the analyses are identified.
