ABSTRACT
Economic planning in the Muslim countries, as indeed anywhere else, is directed towards certain goals. Most obvious of these goals are elimination of poverty and full employment: these two acute needs of Muslim societies should be the basis for any economic policy. However, this is seldom the case.
