This year there were a number of cases in which the National Historic Preservation Act was lobbed as a tool to contest government action, either by those trying to stop an activity or by those seeking to motivate action by a federal agency. This section will not recount all of those cases but, rather, will focus upon some notable events where use of the law has had, or may have, an impact on federal land management decisions.
