ABSTRACT
This section is devoted to cultural property actions brought in state courts that arose from state law, as well as actions brought in federal court in which state and private-entity compliance with federal law were at issue. This section will also cover local legal issues concerning zoning and permits. Actions arising from art market transactions will be dealt with in “Practice Area 6: Art Market,” and matters dealing with museums and state laws regulating museum collections will be covered in “Practice Area 5: Museum.”
