ABSTRACT
DR. MARTIN SULLIVAN is so well known and well regarded by practitioners in various areas of cultural property law-museum, tribal, and international cultural property law immediately come to mind-that the editors of the Yearbook naturally wanted to convey some of his thoughts on the fi eld. Currently Dr. Sullivan is the director of Historic Maryland City, a state archaeological park; he was previously the director of the Heard Museum.
