ABSTRACT
In this article, Du Bois explains to his largely American readers in The Crisis that the problem of American Blacks must be seen as part of a larger worldwide discrimination against the colored races, particularly those of African origin. He ask the African Americans to stop discriminating against Africans (something they have learned from Whites), and recognize the sovereignty of various African nations—to provide them help while not imposing their will.
