Theology and Science

This chapter should properly be entitled “Philosophy,” since it is concerned with the ideological component of the great urban cultures produced by the Agricultural Revolution. But we already have a chapter with this title. We are therefore entitling it “Theology and Science,” since these terms designate the two most significant features of the intellectual sector of these cultures.
