ABSTRACT

As I have with other sorts of classrooms and classroom functions, I recommend owning a copy of Susan Ko and Steve Rosen’s book Teaching Online: A Practical Guide (Routledge 2008). This book will answer most of your questions about the practical issues surrounding the design and implementation of on-line courses. If your campus has an initiative to develop its on-line courses, there will be instruction available. Take advantage of it. New software and new approaches are always being developed that make on-line teaching easier to develop and more accessible to the student.
