ABSTRACT
Most of us assisted a professor in teaching while we were in graduate school. It was difficult then. Becoming the one who organizes, oversees and mentors others has not become any easier. There is a distinction in effectively communicating with a person as a teaching colleague in your lecture, as a student in your seminar, and as a mentee during staff discussions. You need to keep these roles separate.
