ABSTRACT

Related to such real-world simulations is the character-based simulation. The students are asked to write a response to a historical event of life-transforming proportions from the point of view of an individual in a specific situation. The person should not be historically identifiable, but rather one of the anonymous actors in the affected class. The idea is to understand why there might be a variety of ways for the “person” to write the response. The response should be culturally appropriate.
