ABSTRACT

In a successful seminar report, the entire group has moved to a more complex understanding of factors, dynamics, interrelationships, and outcomes circumscribed by the initial problem. This is the magic of discovery that seminars make possible. By the end of the term, the initial problem transforms into a mere cipher for what is actually a tangle of highly varied contexts, processes, and outcomes that more accurately and realistically describe the research. The participants leave the seminar more fully equipped to creatively and critically engage the research than they were when the term began.
