ABSTRACT
THE Holocaust, as an extreme event in history that happened to a very special, and what could be described as a controversial group of people, aroused a wide range of reactions throughout much of the world. These cover the whole spectrum of human response to historical events from end to end, from complete denial and denunciation to total identification, affection and solidarity.
