ABSTRACT
Work during three summer seasons at Oakbank Crannog (1991–93) enabled sufficient casts to be taken to allow for an investigation of the possible uses of signature matches on this multiphase settlement site. Although in situ structural uprights have proved to be the most profitable, examination was not restricted to this material; artefacts, woodworking waste and previously raised material were also examined.
