ABSTRACT

The most striking difference between the original article and my current thinking is the age of my children and the effect that has had on me. My children are older and they have broadened their learning styles so that the “dreamer” is more disciplined and the “apprentice” is more playful. I am glad to be reminded of the more single-minded methods of their early learning and to remember to accommodate them in my work. But I am now more convinced than ever of the pluralistic manner of learning we all use: fearful, concrete, fantasy, experiential. We change our methods of learning because of our moods, our interest/ disinterest in the subject, and the company we keep.
