ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we discuss research in which the core component is qualitative and has an inductive theoretical drive. It is not our intent to provide a lot of detail about how to conduct the core method (for this would expand the book into a qualitative text) should you require more information about qualitative methods, but we have provided some guidance and external references. Here, we will focus on the ways qualitative studies may be expanded to include a quantitative component, or even a second qualitative component.
