ABSTRACT
The outcome of using the Framework and participating in the discussions is not a grade of merit given to an exhibition or a punch list of items that need fixing, but rather the sheer enjoyment of thinking, reflecting, and learning. We engaged in thought processes and critical thinking exercises that most museum practitioners do not or cannot take the time to explore and enjoy. Our discussions had a “freedom of mind” in which we appreciated the value of being
open-minded
reflective
challenging, but more likely to question than assert
inclined to listen to many sides
capable of making distinctions that hold difference in play rather than dividing in order to exclude
desirous of persuading others rather than reducing them to silence by refuting them.
