ABSTRACT
In my journal, I wrote, “Here I am, standing on the Great Wall of China, looking in the direction of the Goddess Temple, far in the distance.” I had to ask Xiao Li which direction from here the Daling site was, so I could put this thought into action. Xiao Li and I were ahead of the others, because Ashley and Joe stopped several times to snap photos, and Laura lingered with them, although she took fewer pictures.
