ABSTRACT
The U.S. Ambassador to Togo is coming to Djon next week. Newly assigned to the country, he will visit two volunteers, chosen from the eighty PCVs in Togo, to witness us “in action.” Sophie told me the news two weeks ago, and the village has been hopping with anticipation ever since. I have planned a couple of activities with the girl’s class, and tonight Kofi and Pascal stop by to fill me in on the various committees’ preparations for the visit.
