ABSTRACT
During the fertile period of a woman's cycle there is supposed to be a spike in the basal body temperature, which is best measured the second a woman wakes up. Few days later the author talked to her mom. Her parents were planning a trip to Ohio in two weeks, and she had just told me. This drives me a little crazy. She is a person who makes lists of things to accomplish that day, that week, that month. There are about a dozen people to whom she have self-disclosed my infertility status. Some are her closest friends and confidents. Some are people who disclosed to because it was the right moment to talk. She was sad about the number of times that she talks about fertility issues while watching a two year old ripping apart a living room or during infant naps on a long distance phone call.
