ABSTRACT
We have stressed repeatedly that the full and accurate recording of an archaeological exploration is the sine qua non of archaeological analysis as well as the overriding moral and ethical responsibility of the excavator. Photography as a tool in record keeping is of such importance in the field that it is discussed separately in this chapter.
