ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a blueprint of the differences in writing styles. There are two types of writing styles: thesis style and publication style. Once completed and bound, younger scholars' thesis will ordinarily be distributed to their graduate studies and research office and the university library, and they will put a copy on their coffee table where it will remain until they land a position and put it up on their new office bookshelf. A thesis of grounded theory research tends to be book length. It will help the members of younger scholars' committee if they summarize at the end of each chapter. Now that they have finished, the thesis, it's time to get on with publishing. Phyllis Noerager Stern caught the attention of thesis writers seeking publication when she wrote The Hook: How to Get Your Grounded Theory Research Published. Most scientific journals have an on-line version that younger scholars are access through a university library.
