ABSTRACT
I decided to frame this chapter and chapter 6 around consistent questions I have received when teaching, presenting, mentoring, discussing, and debating phenomenological research. The questions in this chapter that I address range from how to identify a phenomenon of interest to how to address issues of researcher reflexivity and validity in phenomenological research. In chapter 6, I address questions regarding data gathering and analysis. In both chapters, I do not organize my responses to the questions by research approach. Instead, I discuss how, if at all, I think the question should be addressed differently depending on approach. Otherwise, it is safe to assume that I think the question can be addressed basically in the same way across phenomenological research approaches.
