ABSTRACT

Many have inquired but few have ever really bothered to listen to what the author have to say on why she became an archaeologist. She take great care in setting the record straight. She have always wanted to be an archaeologist from the age of five, she knew for certain that that was what she was going to be when she grew up. Some may consider that a bit "off", but as she have been told on numerous occasions, she was a really weird child, always asking questions, always reading books, and doing peculiar things that were considered a bit different. Like the time she conducted a home science experiment brewing ginger beer and blew up the hot water cylinderI was nine years old. People tend to assume that she caught the archaeology bug from watching one too many Indiana Jones movies, or that she blundered her way into it after being overtly colonised by a mainstream pakeha education system.
