This chapter describes the complete process of building and growing a successful personal brand. It addresses some of the technical considerations behind creating and distributing the content creative professionals create. Although its importance is often downplayed in a world rich with multimedia, they cannot afford to forget that solid writing skills are at the heart of any communication. Impeccable written and oral communication skills have always been necessary for journalists, but now these skills are even more important to entrepreneurs and creatives who, in increasing numbers, must represent themselves to potential clients, customers, and audiences. Although many brands now become ubiquitous through social media, professionals brand still should have a website to serve as its online headquarters and the landing page for social media accounts. Meta tags are informational snippets of code that describe something, making whatever they describe discoverable by search engines. They play an important role in search engine optimization (SEO).
