Figure 1 shows the field of view in one of her experiments 01 olkmann, Schick, & Riggs, 1968) on the partial suppression of vision that occurs during saccades. The subject was instructed to fixate on the gap between the two verticaillnes on the left; and then, on signal, to make a rapid saccade from that gap over to the corresponding one on the right.
