ABSTRACT
Two things were found very useful in making a proper and successful recognition of the feature of the eye which one is seeking. The first is the use of some characteristics peculiar to the elements in question which allow for increased certainty of recognition; the second is the use of feedback indicators to the operator to show him just what is being acquired and the quality of the measurement. This way he knows if it is necessary to make some adjustments.
