ABSTRACT

At the beginning of this book, we considered ethical judgments such as the one made with the statement "Bush's invading Iraq was wrong." We haven't ventured any opinion here on whether such judgments are correct. Instead we've investigated the status of these judgments. This has involved exploring issues in metaphysics, epis- temology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind as they apply to ethical thought and discourse. That is, we've focussed on metaethics.
