ABSTRACT

The purpose of preemployment testing is to get information from the source: residential stability, employment history, gambling, indebtedness, honesty, illegal drug involvement, driving record, military history, and sometimes loyalty. No one knows more about the person seeking employment than the applicant themselves. Today in most modernized countries, there is a host of data services one could use to find out information about criminal convictions, indebtedness, driving records, and even various tests that screen for illegal drug use.
