ABSTRACT
The designer will be involved with the production meetings to discuss the integration of the design into a production with other show elements and will be able to describe the aesthetics, the pacing, and the mood, as well as the financial impact on the production. For most productions, there is a certain commonality in the design team in the roles and duties each individual is taken to accomplish. The director may have decided to include video elements from the start and the media designer will be hired at the very beginning, which may lend itself to better integration into the production overall. As rendering times can be lengthy, depending on quality and amount of content, good communication between the designer, director, and content creator is essential for keeping a production on schedule. The content creator will acquire all visual elements and prepare them to be used in the media design.
