ABSTRACT
The brains of a projector may be fully integrated on a single motherboard, as is the case with many home theater and business class projectors. For many home theater and business class projectors, customers looking to get a Digital Light Processing (DLP) projector will likely be looking at a single-chip model. The Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) projector design was more prevalent in rear projection TV, but was also used in older three gun projectors, where the convergence of the three primary colors is accomplished with three separate lenses. It should be reiterated that video projectors are not the only tool for the media designer, and some historical devices may serve well in the types of image created and budget of the production, as well as the possibility of being fit for the job. Of the digital technologies, it most closely represents historical projectors by allowing light to pass through the medium.
