ABSTRACT

Tapered objects have sides that are angled to the ground plane. When drawing a tapered object that is lying on its side, the angle of the taper must be taken into account. This chapter incorporates information covered in previous chapters, but applies the information to a new subject. A cup tipped on its side is used as an example to show how the geometry of angles can be used to solve difficult perspective problems. How to calculate the angle of the object’s sides in relation to the top and bottom are illustrated, as well as how to plot an inclined ellipse. Illustrations guide the reader through each step of this project. The information covered in this chapter can be applied to any object with complicated angles.
