ABSTRACT

In a five-point perspective view, the picture plane is shaped as a hemisphere. Everything from east to west and from north to south is displayed. The station point is placed in the center, keeping the distance from the viewer to the picture plane constant. There is a vanishing point above and below the viewer, one to the left and one to the right of the viewer, and one at the center of vision. This chapter illustrates each step needed to create a five-point perspective grid, and why a five-point perspective drawing can never be truly accurate.
