ABSTRACT

This chapter offers instruction on drawing objects in two-point perspective. Objects in two-point perspective are angled to the picture plane. Width and depth are foreshortened and connect to a left or right vanishing point; vertical dimensions are not foreshortened and are drawn as true vertical lines. How to locate a vanishing point that draws a specific angle is illustrated, as well as how to measure objects and place them in a specific location. Measuring objects that are touching the picture plane, that are behind the picture plane, and that are in front of the picture plane are illustrated. A series of step-by-step instructions guide the reader on how to draw and use a two-point perspective grid.
