ABSTRACT

One- and two-point perspective inclines are explained in this chapter. Inclines are planes that are not parallel to the ground. Step-by-step instructions are given to draw foreshortened inclines as well as inclines that are parallel to the picture plane. Foreshortened inclines connect to vanishing points that are above or below the horizon line. These vanishing points are called auxiliary vanishing points. This chapter illustrates how auxiliary vanishing points are used to determine an incline’s angle, as well as how auxiliary measuring points determine the incline’s length.
