ABSTRACT

Like organic architecture, the quality of humanity is interior to man. As the solar system is reckoned in terms of light years, so may the inner light be what we are calling humanity. People see themselves as working within the tradition of Modern Architecture, but within that tradition focusing on a number of issues, which define the practice's character and philosophy. People seek to keep their attention focused on the highest intentions and hopefully by so doing, introduce a contemporary spirituality into architecture, not in any formal religious sense but as a direct connection to the organic essence of reality. If architecture has wholeness then its wholeness is only properly understood and experienced when the context has been fully engaged. In the reading of architecture materiality and the experiential dimensions of architecture take on a much higher significance.
