ABSTRACT
Soon after her wedding my mother met with a street accident. A runaway milk cart knocked her down and seriously injured her hip. She was taken to Bart’s hospital where the doctors wanted to amputate her leg but she refused. She remained a cripple for the rest o f her life. No compensation.
