Children’s safety should permeate policy, attitudes and environments

WithPanos Vostanis

The links between children’s physical and emotional safety and mental well-being are considered at different levels, with recommended changes. These range from targeted policy and legislation and their implementation, to challenging attitudes towards both mental health and vulnerability (such as being in care) and developing more child-centred environments and spaces, even in adverse circumstances such as in orphanages and refugee camps.
