Application of therapeutic approaches

WithPanos Vostanis

This chapter discusses the application of different therapeutic frameworks in universal and targeted settings by frontline practitioners such as teachers, social workers and primary care health workers. This is particularly important in the absence of specialist services, but also strengthens the interface in well-developed systems. The main types of interventions at this level are psychoeducation, behavioural strategies, family and attachment-based, trauma-focused and cognitive-behavioural approaches.
